Under 18s PROVINCIAL COACHING REQUIREMENTS  for the 2016-2017 season

Club Coach course plus Making Ethical Decisions (MED) Online Evaluation-Competition Introduction Workshop, OR Competition Coach course plus Making Ethical Decisions (MED) Online Evaluation-Competition Introduction Workshop.

Under 18s PROVINCIAL COACHING REQUIREMENTS  effective for 2017-2018

(Provincial coaching requirements will be the same as Curling Canada’s rules for the U18 National Championship.)

Competition Coach Certified but will accept Competition Coach trained with a minimum of the Making Ethical Decisions online workshop & the Competition Coach Workshop one time only (see below).  Competition Coach Evaluation is not required.

A Coach who is in the process of earning their certification, but will not be certified by the time of the Provincial Championships, will be allowed to apply for a ONE-TIME exemption of the coaching requirements. This aligns with the Curling Canada rules allowing  one-time only per person. Example, if Mr. Smith coaches in 2016-2017 and does not have his Competition Coach Evaluation completed he may apply for an exemption. If Mr. Smith coaches in 2017-2018 he must have completed his Competition Coach Evaluation as a second exemption would not be granted.
